After increasing the price of the BS6 Fortuner SUV by INR 48,000, Toyota India has now hiked the prices of the BS6 Toyota Innova by up to INR 61,000. According to the brand, the prices have been hiked due to the increase in the input costs. The Innova Crysta now starts at 15.66 lakh for the base 2.7 GX MT 7-seater petrol variant while the price range goes all the way up to INR 23.63 lakh for the top-spec 2.4 ZX AT 7-seater diesel model. On the other hand, the Innova Touring Sport model now starts at INR 19.53 lakh while the top model now costs INR 24.67 lakh. The prices mentioned here are ex-showroom Delhi. Here is the updated variant-wise price list for the BS6 Toyota Innova MPV:
In an official statement, Toyota said, “Toyota Kirloskar Motors announces the realignment of prices across our models with a hike between 1 to 2 per cent. This increase is necessitated to partially recover the substantial increase in the cost of BS6 and the higher input costs on the back of the weak exchange rate. During such testing times, it has been our endeavour to absorb cost increases through our internal efforts and only a minimal portion has been reflected onto the prices. The increase in price is effective from June 1st, 2020.”
