Here’s Why the New Toyota Rush SUV Should Come to India

Here’s Why the New Toyota Rush Should Come to India: The CH-R has been spotted in India on multiple occasions. This may be a hint at Toyota’s plans to launch the lifestyle vehicle in India. It is sold in the Indonesian market for prices starting at IDR 48,86,50,000, and by direct conversion, the price in India could be more than INR 23 lakh. This would put it up against the Hyundai Tucson. There is one more product from Toyota’s international lineup which the Indian market is begging the company to bring to its shores. It is the all-new Rush, which is available in the Indonesian market for a price starting at IDR 24,00,50,000. By direct conversion, the Rush could be available in India for a price around INR 11.35 lakh.

Toyota Rush is internationally available in two seating arrangements, with 5 seats and 7 seats. Bringing both the variants to the Indian market would provide Toyota with an edge as it could then rival the other cars in the segment. The 5-seater variant could compete with the segment-dominating Creta while its larger sibling could go up against the TUV300, the BR-V, and the Ertiga. The Rush would provide the buyers with an option to buy a Toyota vehicle under 14 lakh, above which they have the option of buying the Innova Crysta.

The looks of the Rush are quite sporty and give a proper feel of an SUV. The front end resembles the one that we see on the Fortuner, and that would be the main selling point of the vehicle; it looks like a Fortuner and gives the feel of riding one too at half the price. The engine that the Rush could be launched at has already been brought to the Indian market in the Yaris. It is quite refined and could be Toyota’s next step into the all-petrol lineup.

The Rush is an overall practical car that offers quite a lot of space. With Toyota’s quality and long-lasting engines, it could be quite a hit in the Indian markets, where the people are looking at cars, not as a commodity that could be changed every few years but a long-lasting investment.
