Someone from Tamil Nadu shared a video of their Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The engine of Urban Cruiser Hyryder is making a loud noise. They towed their Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder to the service centre two days back. The service centre is still diagnosing the vehicle and has not found the problem.
As seen in the video, a loud clatter from the engine bay sounds like a tractor. The car has been at the authorised Toyota dealership service centre in Tamil Nadu for quite some time, and no one has yet identified the problem.
Toyota offers four trim levels for the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The SUV will have three powertrain options: Neo Drive, self-charging strong hybrid electric, and E-CNG. The CNG variant will only be available in S and G grades.
The ability to run in pure EV mode delivers higher fuel efficiency. Low emission levels, no external charging required, responsive power and quieter drive. These are some of the unique features of the self-charging strong-hybrid electric version.
The 1.5-litre THS engine powers the self-charging strong-hybrid electric version. This engine is equipped with an e-drive transmission. The gasoline engine produces 91 bhp and 122 Nm of torque, while the electric motor produces 79 bhp and 141 Nm. The combined output of the strong-hybrid version is 114 bhp.
Suzuki’s 1.5-litre K-series engine comes with Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) technology. It produces 101 bhp and 135 Nm of torque in the Neo Drive version. This engine is available with a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission.
