Volkswagen has finally launched the most awaited Polo GTI in India, surprisingly priced at INR 25.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Being lightweight, the Polo GTI sprints much more quicker than other cars with the same engine.

Polo GTI arrives here via the CBU route and uses the popular 3 door design in the country. It even comes with a limited slip differential and stiffer suspension than all other Polo variants in India. The gear changes can be controlled through the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Other important features include LED headlamps, GTI badge on the front grill, wider track with optional 17 inch wheels and red accents all over its body.
The car comes loaded with other visual updates like dual chrome exhaust tail pipes, tinted glass with heat insulation and rear body colored spoiler. Polo GTI measures 3976 mm in length, 1682 mm in width and 1452 mm in height. The wheelbase stands at 2468 mm while the kerb weight stands at 1273 kg. Key Specs of VW Polo GTi:
Volkswagen has allotted just 99 Polo GTI examples for India while it feels too much overpriced for the segment it actually falls in the country. Just for a similar example, the Fiat Punto Abarth costs just INR 9.99 lakh and takes just 8.8 seconds for the 0-100 kmph sprint, but unfortunately is not safe enough like this car. Volkswagen claims a 16.34 kmpl of mileage for the Polo GTI, providing the same with 215/45-R16 wheels for enhanced looks and steering control.
