All-New Honda CB150R ExMotion Officially Unveiled

2017 Honda CB150R ExMotion was recently launched in Thailand for 99,800 Thai Baht (approx INR 1.93 lakh). The production motorcycle is completely based on Honda’s 150SS Racer Concept that was recently revealed at Bangkok Motor Show. Premium parts like CBR1000RR’s brake calipers and X-Adv front forks make CB150R an even more mouth watering deal than its last generation Streetfire version.

If this was not your take on motorcycling, it’s all new Euro6 compliant 150cc engine is good for almost 20 HP and may soon overtake all others in the race of performance and output from this typical engine segment.

When it comes to exclusivity, 41mm front USD forks, that too finished in Golden outer tube, are the class leading feature on Honda CB150R ExMotion. It lives up to the expectations through front LED headlight that feels right from the Ducati Monster segment. They kept the front design minimal in order to create a long lasting impression on viewer’s mind.

Standard size front fender not just looks good but also improves practicality in all weather driving. Apart from the performance refining parts, CB150R comes with all new exhaust design and lightweight rear section that comes with proportionately padded seats.

Honda 150SS Racer Concept

Honda will launch the newcomer in three limited edition variants. Named CB150R Scrambler Cafe, the first version will be available with 1000 units at 1,18,400 Thai Baht (approx INR 2,29,400). Other two are named Street Cafe for 1,35,200 Baht (approx INR 2,61,900) and Moriwaki Edition. Both are available with 500 units and price for Moriwaki Edition is still unknown.

If going for the ABS version of standard CB150R ExMotion, one need to spend extra 10,000 (INR 19,400 approx) Baht on the original sticker price. Undoubtedly, Honda CB150R ExMotion is presently the most appealing machine for Indian Honda fans. If Honda plans to launch the new CB150R in India, the best option would be to localize the production and launch the ABS version for around INR 1.20 Lakh.
