2022 KTM RC 390 India Price Leaked Ahead Of Official Launch

The Austrian 2-wheeler manufacturer, KTM is ready to launch the 2022 RC 390 in India soon. The new model is already available in a few international markets. The price of the upcoming bike was revealed on the official KTM India website ahead of the official launch. Whether it was an oopsy or an intentional strategy to assess the response cannot be known.

The KTM RC 390 was a stepping stone in the SuperSport segment and a revelation, offering a feature-rich sporty bike with a competitive price tag. Although that might change with the upcoming model, as it seems way too premium to be under a competitive price tag. They will manufacture the new model at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant in Maharashtra, along with the RC 200 and RC 125. The revealed price on the official KTM India website was Rs 3.14 lakh (ex-showroom), which is around Rs 36,000 more than its predecessor.

The 2022 RC 390 has a restyled trellis frame, new wheels with upgraded brakes, and a larger fuel tank. The engine remains the same, though. The new model has gone through a complete overhaul and gets a redesigned front fascia. The revamped model features a single pod headlight in the front, as opposed to the projector-style units on the old model. Speaking of more design updates, the new model has fairing-mounted rearview mirrors, an updated turn signal configuration, a more aerodynamic fairing design, a revised tail section, and a 13.7-litre fuel tank.

Aside from the above-mentioned changes, another interesting update is the exhaust system, which now gets a new stainless steel header pipe and an aluminium muffler, which results in reducing weight and making a more reminiscent soundtrack. When it comes to the powertrain, the forthcoming KTM RC 390 is likely to be powered by the 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which is capable of generating 43.5PS and 37Nm, which is 1Nm more than the current model.
