Next-Gen KTM Duke 390 Streetfighter Spotted Testing Again

Next-Gen KTM Duke 390 Streetfighter Spotted Testing Again

It was a great surprise to see the next-generation KTM 390 Duke being tested on local roads just a few days ago. It gives us optimism that the new 390 Duke will debut in the 2022 edition of the EICMA event, which will take place later this year. New spy shots of the 2023 KTM 390 Duke shows the bike testing yet again, this time overseas. The fresh test-bike sighting offers information on the next model’s new design and mechanical characteristics.

To begin, the headlamp cowl appears to have a sharper shape and a slant, reminiscent of the 1290 Super Duke. The headlight unit’s outer rim looks to be painted in a contrasting white colour. When viewed from the side, the tank shrouds appear to be longer and reach beyond the front forks all the way to the front fork deflectors. The rear subframe appears to be entirely new, and it appears to be inspired by the larger 790 Duke and 890 Duke.

The wheels, brake discs, and WP suspension are similar to the recently introduced 2022 RC 390. The redesigned swing-arm, which is exclusively built for the new-generation Dukes and also features on the recently spotted 125 Duke test bike, is the test-most bike’s distinctive feature.

The engine shell and surrounding frame look slightly reworked and redesigned. KTM has worked on the engine and the engine will provide more performance with increased efficiency. Finally, the exhaust appears to be an under-belly design, with the exit ending right before the rear wheel.

We expect an enormous increase in the asking price of the next-generation KTM 390 Duke. Expect a price increase of Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000/-, just like its sibling. When KTM 390 Duke Next-Gen arrives in India, most likely next year, they might price it between Rs. 3.20 Lakh and Rs. 3.25 Lakh (ex-showroom).
