Users of Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro models have taken to Reddit to complain about the issue they are facing. The rear camera setup on their new smartphones shakes and makes noises. It seems that Apple’s native camera app has no such problems. It only occurs when using it with third-party applications. Reddit users claim that the problem was most encountered with Instagram and Snapchat.
A Reddit user complained that the rear camera setup on their iPhone 14 Pro Max was “shaking uncontrollably.” Several other Reddit users have also highlighted the same issue with the iPhone 14 Pro on the r/iPhone subreddit. The native camera app of iPhone 14 Pro models appears to be functioning without an issue.
Because this problem only occurs when using third-party apps. Several iPhone 14 Pro users believe it is a software issue that could be resolved with an OTA update. One user pointed the third-party apps may not have been optimised for the recently released iOS 16 on the iPhone 14 Pro models.
Some Reddit users also speculate that the camera issues could also be related to optical image stabilisation (OIS). Apple has yet to address the problem. If this is a hardware issue, users of the iPhone 14 Pro models may have to return their newly purchased handsets to have them repaired.
Apple recently resolved a problem with the iPhone 14 series. Users may not be receiving iMessage texts or FaceTime calls, according to the company. To resolve the issue, the company advised users to update their devices to the most recent iOS 16 version. Apple unveiled the iPhone 14 series on September 7 at its ‘Far Out’ launch event.
