Apple iPhone 7 (Product) Red Special Edition Launched @ INR 70,000

Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus was recently launched in Limited Edition Red shade with a starting price tag of INR 70,000. Both the models can be had in just 128 GB and 256 GB variants. The same is known as ‘Product RED’ in the company lineup and comes up in collaboration with Apple’s partner RED, the organization that helps fight HIV and AIDS around the world. Bookings for the Apple RED edition will start on March 24 and deliveries for the same will start in India in April. The widespread INR 82,000 price tag is for iPhone 7 Plus 128 GB.

Every purchase made to the RED series of Apple products has an undisclosed amount of donation to the noble purpose. The phones are offered with White front section while its side bezels and rear section is Red in shade. They have mentioned that is would be a limited period model but has not disclosed the amount of time that it would be on sale around the world. All specifications for the phones remains the same while they are even offering an iPad Mini that comes with a brighter screen and Red cover.

The brand has raised around $130 million for RED in last decade and all of the money goes into research and treatment of patients that suffer from HIV but wish to save the future generation from its effect. The international price range for Product RED starts at $749. Apple iPhone 7 is offered with a 4.7 inch display while 7 Plus uses a bigger, 5.5 inch full HD display. Apple is almost ready to start the local production of iPhones in India, hinting at a considerable price drop in various models in the coming months.
