Apple Might Discontinue iPhone X Soon: Apple iPhone X might get discontinued soon and make way for the second generation model this year. As they were expecting huge sales, the model turned their expectations down in almost every market.
As offering a much lower price for iPhone X after the launch of new products in 2018 will be negative for brand image of Apple, they will prefer discontinuing the slow seller and bring an all new 6.1 inch smartphone with FaceID and relatively inexpensive LCD display.
The second generation model for iPhone X will carry the $999 price tag and definitely improvements over the present flaws. Another reason for its discontinuation is the upcoming 6.1-inch, lower spec iPhone model. This one is expected to sell for around $750 while generation two iPhone X will retain its present day price tag.
Apple can even bring a bigger 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus for select markets. It will definitely be the most expensive model they could offer in 2018. The Chinese market had the worst possible response to iPhone X and that has brought Apple back on the sheet to draw something even more interesting for world’s most populated country and a huge smartphone market.
Indian market saw an increase in pricing for iPhone X due to change in import taxes. It sells slower than any other model in the Indian lineup as starting price of almost INR 90,000 is worth a fortune for most of the citizens. The two horn style display sections of the iPhone X are not so pleasing for every user and thus, Apple could come up with something different this time.
Bringing an edge to edge model for an even lower price (the 6.1-inch iPhone mentioned above) will be a great deal for price restricted markets like Asia and Africa. It will definitely boost iPhone sales in 2018.
