OnePlus 8 Lite Rumoured to Launch as OnePlus Z

OnePlus has officially announced the launch date for its flagship OnePlus 8 series which is scheduled to launch on April 14 at 11:00 AM EDT (8:30 PM IST). However, its Lite variant will be released later this year. A recent report claims that the smartphone will be launched as OnePlus Z instead of OnePlus 8 Lite.

The OnePlus Z would be a more affordable version of the flagship OnePlus 8 series. As per some of the earlier speculations, the smartphone was supposed to be released along with the upcoming OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro.

As far the key specifications are concerned, certain reports suggest that OnePlus Z will come featured with a 6.4-inch display with the triple rear camera setup. There is a possibility that it will come featured with a MediaTek Dimensity chipset instead of the flagship Snapdragon 865 to keep the costs down.

There is no official confirmation from the brand regarding the same, but as per the latest buzz, it is for sure that it will launch later this year.
