2018 Samsung Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ were recently announced for the Indian market. After going through several rumors and almost clear spy shots, the unveil was warm welcomed by the audience.
The phones are pretty impressive as A8 now comes with a 5.6 inch Full HD+ Infinity Super display while A8+ gets an even bigger 6-inch display with same specifications. Display ratio now moves to 18.5:9 while curved glass is used for the front and rear side.
Processing power on both the phones come through Exynos 7885 processor with eight cores and Mali-G71 graphic processor. RAM availability differs on both the phones as Galaxy A8 comes with 4GB RAM for both 32GB and 64GB variant while A8+ comes with 4GB/32GB and 6GB/64GB option.
Still, both the phones offer expandable storage option of up to 256GB. Galaxy A8 and A8+ comes with Android 7.1.1 as stock OS. Keeping most factors similar, the rear 16MP camera with LED flash was kept the same on both the phone.
Front comes with 16MP primary and 8MP secondary camera for depth effect in every selfie. Both A8 and A8+ are equipped with fingerprint sensor and IP68 resistance properties. Samsung Galaxy A8 has overall thickness of just 8.4 mm, uses a 3000mAh battery and its weight tips the scale at 172g.
On the other hand, A8+ is heavier at 191 grams, uses a 3500mAh battery and comes with 8.3 mm of overall thickness. Both are offered with 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5 and USB Type-C connectors. Fast charging is also standard on both the A8 and A8+.
Samsung offers the A8 for 499 Euros (INR 37,750 approx) while A8+ comes at 599 Euros (INR 45,300 approx). Shades on offer includes Orchid Grey, Gold, Blue and Black for both Galaxy A8 and A8+.
