MWC 2019 was also graced with the announcement of Sony’s latest flagship smartphone Xperia 1, the first in the world to get CinemaWide 4K HDR display with a ratio of 21:9. The smartphone has been equipped with X-Reality for the mobile phones allowing you to switch in the creator mode for improved and consistent colour reproduction. The Sony Xperia 1 gets a price tag of £799 (INR 74,700) and will be available for sale in Europe in the coming weeks, and in the US market later this year.
The Sony Xperia 1 is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor with Adreno 640 GPU mounted on it. It gets a 6.5-inch 4K OLED HDR Display with 21:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for protection. The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) while gets a side mounted fingerprint sensor.
It packs up a 3300mAh battery and gets a triple rear camera setup with a 12MP primary camera with 1/2.6″ sensor, a secondary 12MP camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 12MP camera with 45° telephoto lens. The Sony Xperia 1 also gets an 8MP front camera with 84° wide-angle lens. As of now, Sony has not revealed anything officially regarding the launch of Xperia 1 in India.
