According to the latest rumours surfacing online, Sony is reportedly working on a Hexa rear camera smartphone. The leaks suggest the Sony Xperia phone to feature a dual front camera setup though, no official information on the same has been confirmed yet. Several leaks on the upcoming smartphone also reveal the camera specifications of the 6 cameras used by the brand. According to the information tweeted by Max J, the Sony Xperia smartphone will get a dual front camera setup with a 10MP primary camera and a secondary 0.3MP ToF unit.
The rear camera setup gets 6 cameras with a combination of a 48MP lens with f/1.2 /f.2.4 aperture, a 20MP lens with f/2.4, a 16MP with f/2.4, 8MP with f/2.4, a 12MP with f/1.2/ f/2.4 and a 0.5MP ToF unit. There has been no official confirmation on the type of lenses used for the upcoming Sony smartphone as the combination doesn’t specify the number of telephotos or wide-angle lens used.
As per the leaked specifications, the rear camera setup will offer a premium high-quality image as seen on the work done by the Nokia 9 Pure View with 5 sensors at the rear. Sony is expected to beat both HMD Global and Huawei when it comes to introducing a smartphone with the best possible camera architecture.
In addition to this, the brand is also expected to introduce a foldable smartphone in the future which will be equipped with Samsung’s flexible OLED display. The smartphone might be named Xperia F and get 5G support. Other upcoming foldable smartphones to be introduced in the coming months are Huawei’s Mate X and the Samsung Galaxy Fold. The launch of Galaxy Fold has been officially delayed as the brand is facing some serious quality issues with the display of the smartphone.
