Vivo 120W FlashCharge Teased: 100% Battery (4000mAh) in 13 Minutes!

Vivo 120W FlashCharge Teased: 100% Battery (4000mAh) in 13 Minutes!

Vivo 120W FlashCharge is the fastest way to charge a compatible smartphone, leaving behind the Xiaomi 100W SuperCharge by a difference of 4 minutes. The new charging technology from Vivo adds 4000mAh of power into a battery in 13 minutes while Xiaomi took 17 minutes to fully charge a similar-sized battery.

As both technologies are under the advanced testing stage, having them in the market will take some time for sure. The teaser from the brand shows an unnamed device gaining 2.38% battery power in just 14 seconds. The upcoming MWC Shanghai 2019 will serve as the stage for Vivo’s demonstration of fast charging.

Along with the 120W FlashCharge, Vivo will also reveal their 5G smartphone at the event. The fast charging battle in the industry is getting tighter than ever, with OnePlus offering Warp Charge technology for 100% battery within one hour claim.

On the other hand, Vivo’s own gaming smartphone features 44W Fast Charge feature that takes 45 minutes to charge the phone completely. However, the huge jump by Xiaomi forced the brand to reconsider the technology. The Super VOOC technology used in Oppo R17 Pro is currently good for 100% battery in 40 minutes, proving itself to be faster through the 50W support.

The regular devices that are used by a majority of smartphone users take around 90-120 minutes to fully charge the battery. The upcoming technology is quite impressive as it does not just save you from continuously using the phone while charging, you can just go for a shower and get the full battery charged within that period of time.

The brands like Apple, Samsung, and others also have fast charging technology in smartphones but clearly, none of them is even closer to these achievements by the China-based smartphone brands. It is yet to be seen which version of the fast charging does Apple iPhone 11 offers in its production form.
