Creating the most innovative solution to sell smartphones in India, Xiaomi has introduced a Mi Express Kiosk initiative across various cities. Now the customers can buy Xiaomi smartphones and a lot of accessories from a vending machine!
This Mi Express Kiosk allows the customers to buy smartphones and other mobile accessories through the vending machine by paying via debit cards, credit cards, cash as well as UPI payments. Manyata Tech Park and Xiaomi’s office in Embassy Tech Village (ETV) in Bengaluru are the first places to get Mi Express Kiosk, though, the brand tends to expand their commitment further.
Commenting on the launch of Mi Express Kiosk, Xiaomi expressed in a statement: “Mi Express Kiosks serve as a highly effective New Retail initiative for consumers and Mi Fans to easily access and buy Xiaomi products instantly in offline markets”.
This initiative allows customers to get Xiaomi products without worrying about operational and cost inefficiencies. The brand also plans on installing these mobile phone vending machines across major metro cities in India at the locations with major footfall such as metro stations, malls, airports, tech parks and more. According to the brand, this initiative allows the customers to avail Mi phones at honest pricing just as buying from Mi’s online and offline stores.
Defining it as one of the most cost-effective and scalable approaches, the brand further added in a statement: “All technology equipping Mi Express Kiosks have been researched and developed in India, further extending the brand’s commitment to India”.
Xiaomi will be setting up 50 similar Mi Express Kiosks in other metro cities in the coming months. All the other information about the vending machines is available on the official website of Xiaomi. The Mi Express Kiosk vending machines will remain open between 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
