Xiaomi Mi 5X Launched in China for 1499 Yuan

Xiaomi Mi 5X was recently launched in China for 1499 Yuan (approx INR 14,300). The phone will go on sale from August 1, 2017 and comes in three color options (Black, Gold and Rose Gold). The Indian entry of Xiaomi Mi 5X is still not confirmed till date but it will come to India for sure in coming weeks.

As all other Mi phones, 5X is even loaded with features that are far better than any other in the competition. Starting with its feature list, one could not miss the introduction of 12 MP dual rear camera that comes with wide angle lens, dual tone LED flash and PDAF. Front simply uses a 5 MP camera with undisclosed lens details.

Mi 5X is powered by 2GHz Octa Core Snapdragon 625 processor that comes paired to 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The memory expansion (till 128GB) is offered through the dedicated microSD slot. Xiaomi uses a 5.5 inch, full HD curved glass display for the best ever viewing experience.

The impressive design of Mi 5X is further enhanced with just 7.3 mm of overall width. They have placed a fingerprint sensor at the back while camera is located at one of the extreme corner of the phone. The design shows some similar curves to the present generation iPhone design.

The unibody metal design look extremely good while MIUI interface over Android 7.1 adds fun to the user’s overall experience. It is one of the most affordable phone to carry a dual rear camera and thus, could be a hit product once introduced in India.

Placing it under INR 14,000 may not be possible as wide range of Xiaomi products fall under the same price bracket. Standard features on the phone include 4G VoLTE, USB type-C connectivity and hybrid dual SIM option. It runs on a 3080 mAh battery.
