Kawasaki ER-6N has been replaced internationally with the all-new Z650. The motorcycle turned slow-seller with aging design and hence, Z650 was adopted for a refreshing feel. This typical ER-6n MAD MAX has a different story as it never wanted to grow old and feel like all others that were sold around the world. K-Speed Customs from Thailand added the missing charm into the Kawasaki ER-6N and hence, this beefed up custom motorcycle came as a result. Apart from the engine and its twisted dual exhaust pipes, all other components have received sizable changes.
Looking at the front, not even a single component seems stock on this typical ER-6N. The complete makeover includes removal of the stock headlight, front wheel and suspension covers, further being swapped with extra small headlight, extra wide dual purpose tyre and rubber suspension caps. Instrument console of the motorcycle was kept intact while same could also be said for the fuel tank. K-Speed has finished every single part in Matt Black, further highlighting division through use of faux carbon fiber covers.
The space around the engine bay now gets integrated turn indicators while rear section of the frame is chopped in order to get that single ribbed seat fitted on the motorcycle. Lower placed handlebars and straight seat will create a unique sitting position for the rider.
Kawasaki ER-6n was powered by a BS3 compliant, 649cc engine producing 71 BHP at 8500 rpm and 64 Nm at 7000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle was last sold for INR 4.69 lakh in India and weighed around 210 kg (19 kg more than current generation Z650).
The Kawasaki Z650 is powered by a 649cc engine with max. power and max. torque figures of 67.2 Bhp @ 8000 rpm and 65.7 NM @ 6500 rpm respectively. At present, the Z650 is available in India for INR 4.99 Lakh (Ex-showroom India).
