Meet Custom-Made Royal Enfield Steroid 540: Indian automobile segment does not take Cafe Racers into account when body types of motorcycles are discussed before a purchase. The fault does not lie in anybody as Indians refer motorcycling as a cheap alternate to cars and not as something which can have its individual identity. Here is one cafe racer from Bulleteer Customs that can change the way people look at these fun friendly machines.
Steroid 540, the Royal Enfield Classic 500 based Cafe Racer is actually something that looks more into the above liter class family. It gets a beefed up fuel tank that gets custom paint as well as additional components on its top. The engine modifications help it claim 0-100 kmph sprint under 9 seconds while providing the same with a top speed of 154 kmph. That’s actually too insane for a Royal Enfield.
If racing is not that your department, you can go with the looks of the show stopper. It carries a Metzeler 190 section rear wheel while front is even nothing less than 120 mm. The front end is from RC390 while the tank goes 2 inches wider on each side for the steroid feel. The headlight used here is projector type whereas exhaust use is race spec that helps in adding few more horsepower units to the Steroid 540.
