A man’s dream could take anything to get fulfilled. Nilesh went forward with his dream, leaving his job behind and building a motorcycle that was his dream from the very beginning. Just to see if what he planned was possible, he worked on a Maruti’s 800cc engine and planned to make it usable on a motorcycle. Nilesh is from Pune and named his self-made ride as ‘Trailblazer’. It comes with rough edges and unfinished parts but clearly shows how dedication to achieve your dream can bring you a fruitful result.
The rear wheel on the motorcycle is directly from the car while it comes with shaft drive, making it one of the few around the world to carry this type of drive-train. The inline-3 engine of the Maruti 800 is taken in such a way that no changes in the starting mechanism, instrument console and most of the buttons can be seen on the Trailblazer. The car’s engine generates a lot of heat and placing the fuel tank above could have caused a problem. The actual fuel tank is very smartly placed inside the rear fender.
Trailblazer comes with front USD suspension from KTM Duke while the twin headlight seems to be inspired from the mighty Triumph Rocket 3. The frame is fully custom built while he has claimed a top speed of around 80 kmph from the Trailblazer. The hard work of around 4-5 months brought a brilliant result as there is no other like Trailblazer in the custom motorcycle industry. It generates a healthy 45 BHP of maximum power while the weight without fuel stays on the higher side (350 kg) of the motorcycle segment.
