The lifestyle pickup trucks that have never been on the Indian enthusiast’s hitlist have been successful in the other ASEAN markets for far longer. The segment has been ruled by several big brands like Ford, Isuzu and Toyota. A customization shop in Thailand by the name Dam Auto Car has recently modified an Isuzu V-Cross and its monster avatar is indeed drool-worthy.
Coming to the sinister profile resultant of the worthy customization, the V-Cross lifestyle pickup truck now features a glossy black colour scheme adding to its monster design while the highly appreciated aspects of the stock version of the truck have been kept intact for keeping the authenticity alive.
The customizers have increased the height of the truck by two inches both at the rear and the front with a Pro Comp suspension system while the addition of highly accentuating wheels and tyres from Custom Wheel Thailand further complements its profile.
The suspension system, as well as the front driveshaft, has been sourced from Sun 4×4 located in Bangkok. The suspension duties are handled by Fox 2.0 Performance Series Monotube shocks at the front and a 10-step Fox 2.0 rear shock absorber. In addition to this, the pickup truck has been imparted with H113 rims equipped on those monster tyres.
Apart from this, the customizers have kept the front grille intact from the stock version. The customized V-Cross also features a similar LED DRLs as well as fog lamps setup while the skid plate design has also been kept the same.
The customization has only been limited to certain bits while the engine specification has not been altered. Isuzu V-Cross is available in the markets like Thailand in two powertrains namely a 1.9-litre diesel engine that is good for 150 HP and 350 Nm while the 3.0-litre diesel engine is good for 190 HP and 450 Nm. The MY2021 avatar of the lifestyle pickup truck is yet to be launched in the Indian markets.
