Gauchar-Kota-Gauchar Round Trip on Bajaj Pulsar 220F: Solo riding on your motorcycle is a completely different feel when compared to long distance riding with a pillion. You have no one to talk and thus, answering you own questions is your first priority.
You have the power to clear your own concepts at this time and unlike doing all this in your room, every second brings you something new that could have been part of your dreams only if you didn’t had courage to get up and ride.
Govind Yadav was a commuter before he decided to ride from Gauchar, Uttarakhand (his workplace) to Kota, Rajasthan (hometown). He used to travel long distances by train and other modes of public transport earlier but one day, when he was about to confirm his ticket to Kota, the idea of solo riding on his Bajaj Pulsar 220F came to his mind.
He took enough courage and planned his trip exactly opposite to what he was planning for the train. He could have closed his eyes and reach Kota through this train but what could get better than keeping the eyes open for a thrilling bike ride.
His journey was 1900 kilometers in total and required him to tackle chilling Himalayan weather and excessive Rajasthan heat in a single ride. It took him 20 hours to ride from Gauchar to Kota. He started at 2PM and ended his single side ride at 10AM next day.
This includes two petrol filling stops and dinner as well as breakfast stop in Roorkee and Jaipur respectively. When going back, it took his 22 hours to complete the second side with 3 hours of sleep on this way to Gauchar.
As he himself describes, the experience was truly amazing. He rode alongside river Ganga and then Chambal, explaining that no two moments of his ride were same at all. Filled with memories, Govind Yadav is now an even happier soul.
