Not everyone dares to do what Jenith Nithin did on his Yamaha RX 135. He became first rider to travel 1450 kms non-stop on a 2-stroke motorcycle. Iron Butt Association did not had any such record on their side earlier. He is from Ooty and started his ride from Coimbatore.
Going through Kerala and Karnataka, he returned back to Coimbatore with no official break, except for the fuel filling process. Jenith is a track racer and took this way of life to create awareness regarding safety on two wheeler. He also wanted everyone to understand the importance of joy of riding in India.
Things would have been easier for him if he had a modern bike under his plan but taking the road less traveled, he planned to make this record on a 2-stroke bike. While most owners of 2-stroke bikes don’t even plan inter city trips, Jenith Nithin broke the ideology and rode through 3 different states.
He plans to go on India trip in coming months. His choice, the Yamaha RX 135, was discontinued before year 2000 due to its emission standards. Still, the peppy performer is alive within the hearts of millions of Indian rides. He could not take more images as riding without break was a need.
