Here is the Most Recent Look at the Royal Enfield Scram 450

It’s only been a year since the Royal Enfield Scram 411 debuted, and now a test mule of what appears to be the Scram 450 has been spotted on Indian roads. It will be a more road-friendly version of the upcoming Himalayan 450, much like the Scram 411 is to the current Himalayan.

The test mule was heavily camouflaged, concealing the Scram 450’s design. The spotted bike appears to be smaller than the new Himalayan. While the riding posture appears to be the same as the Himalayan 450, the Scram 450’s single-piece seat makes it more suitable for urban use.

Royal Enfield Scram 450cc borrows the Himalayan 450’s tail light-integrated turn indicators, which look rather sleek. Both upcoming bikes’ design language deviates from the functional Royal Enfield styling, and it will be interesting to see what the veteran bikemaker has in store for us.

The engine is the more interesting part. The RE Scram 450 will most likely be powered by the same 450cc liquid-cooled mill found in the upcoming Himalayan 450. It could simply have a different engine map or a few internal changes to fit the urban scrambler vibe.

The Himalayan 450’s engine is expected to produce similar power and torque figures to the KTM 390 Adventure, which produces 43.5 PS of maximum power and 37 Nm of maximum torque.

Unlike the Himalayan, which has a USD fork, the spied bike has a standard telescopic fork with gaiters. Aside from that, the bike has smaller alloy wheels wrapped in road-biased tyres than the Himalayan 450. Given how lively the bike appeared in traffic, we anticipate it to be lighter and sportier than its ADV sibling.

The Scram 450 is expected to be released a few months after the Himalayan 450, most likely in June 2023. It might cost around Rs 2.60 lakh, which is slightly less than the ADV.
