Suzuki has launched the new Burgman Street EX at Rs 1,12,300. They made this launch after releasing a teaser on social media. In the Burgman Street lineup, this new variant joins the standard and Ride Connect versions.
The EX receives a larger 12-inch rear wheel (instead of a 10-inch) with a wider 100/80-12 tyre. A silent starter system and an auto start/stop function are also available in this version. All these functions distinguish the new EX from the existing Burgman Street variants. Suzuki has also installed its new Suzuki Eco Performance Alpha (SEP-A) tech on this version. It is said to be an advanced version of Suzuki’s fuel-saving Eco Performance Tech.
There are some minor differences in dimensions and weight as well. The EX weighs 1kg more (111kg) and has a 25mm longer wheelbase than the standard Burgman, but it is 5mm narrower.
The EX retains the same 124cc, 2-valve, single-cylinder engine that powers the rest of the Burgman Street lineup. This engine on the new version produces 0.1 hp less (8.6hp) at a lower rpm while maintaining the same torque at 10 Nm.
The Burgman Street EX comes with a Bluetooth-enabled LCD, an LED headlight, and a USB charging port. The new Burgman Street EX is available in three colour options: Platinum Silver, Bronze, and Black.
The new Burgman Street EX is Rs 22,400 more expensive than the standard Burgman and Rs 19,000 more expensive than the Ride Connect version. Aprilia SXR 125 is the direct rival and the only other maxi-style scooter on the market.
