Yamaha is all set to showcase three new electric scooters at the upcoming 46th edition of Tokyo Motor Show which will commence from October 24, 2019. Since major brands are planning to launch some of their best products at the upcoming show, Yamaha has officially revealed the images and other specifications of their upcoming e-scooters that will revolutionize the eco-friendly commute around the world.
Coming to the three upcoming electric scooters from the brand, the portfolio will feature two concept e-scooters while the third one will be a production model. In terms of names, the brand has christened the new concept scooters as E01 and E02.
Featuring a maxi-scooter design, the former has been equipped with an ergonomic body design with a tall windscreen at the front as well as slick tyres with Bridgestone branding. In addition to this, the Yamaha E01 has been equipped with a longer single-seat saddle flowing towards the rear while the pillion backrest has been given a miss.
Coming to the Yamaha E02, one can easily recognise it as the toned-down version of the E01, as it features a shorter wheelbase while the body panels have also been offered a compact look as well as smaller wheels. The recent reports also suggest that the Yamaha E01 is as powerful as a 125cc scooter while the E02 will generate power equivalent to a 50cc engine.
Coming to the last scooter, the brand has opted to base the electric vehicle on the Yamaha’s Vino scooter. Christened as E-Vino, the electric scooter features a retro design language with a circular headlamp as well as indicators.
The brand is expected to offer the Yamaha E-Vino with a removable battery for convenience of remote charging. In addition to this, the E-Vino can be operated in two power modes in addition to offering a boost function for better performance on inclined roads.
