Red Yamaha R15 V3 Leaked Ahead of Official Launch: Yamaha Motor India is all set to launch a new colour for the R15 V3 in the Indian markets. The all-new bright red shade is expected to reach the showrooms very soon while the official launch is expected to take place next week. Coming to the looks, the upcoming Yamaha R15 V3 variant features red shade on the fuel tank, side fairings, and the rear underseat panels. In addition to that, the black alloy wheels also feature a thin red stripe to match the new colour combination. Apart from the new shade, no other changes have been made to the bike.

At present, the 155cc motorcycle is available with three colour options: Racing Blue, Thunder Grey, and Darknight Edition (Black). With the addition of the new Red shade, the 2021 Yamaha R15 V3 would be available in a total of four shades. The new shade is expected to launch with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.53 lakhs, equivalent to the price tag of the Darknight Edition.

Mechanically, Yamaha R15 V3 is powered by a BS6-compliant, 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 18.6 HP @ 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.1 Nm @ 8500 rpm. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed transmission. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock absorber at the rear. The braking power is offered by dual disc brakes at either side mated to a 2-channel ABS unit as standard.
