2017 KTM 390 Duke Officially Unveiled at EICMA 2016

KTM has finally unveiled the much teased and spied, 2017 version of 390 Duke. The motorcycle is a sure shot show stopper and now comes with all those goodies that were being missed by the KTM fans. The fun to ride motorcycle now comes with 1290 Duke inspired design with split LED headlamp at the front and a much larger 13.4 liter fuel tank, made out of steel.

The motorcycle comes with mind blowing features like ride by wire system, which may unveil the use of riding modes on the 390 Duke, full TFT instrument console, ABS and a side exhaust for complying with Euro 4 emission norms. There’s also an optional MY ride interface on the new KTM 390 Duke. The engine is now even more refined, fed by fuel injection and carrying a claimed 44 HP of maximum power @ 9000 rpm and 37 NM of maximum torque @ 7000 rpm. The WP suspension is all new while the front brake is now 320 mm. 390 Duke now weighs just 149 kg and carries a good 185 mm of ground clearance, making it a true fun to ride machine on almost every road of the world. The frame is again all new, made lighter in account of carrying more equipment and keeping the weight as low as possible. The Orange shade on the tank and alloy wheels now matches to that of the 2017 RC 390.The rear half of the frame is finished in White, distinguishing the model from the all Orange older frames. The seat height on the 2017 KTM 390 Duke is surprisingly high at 830 mm. The Indian launch of the latest Duke is expected by the first quarter of 2017 while pricing will definitely go up by a considerable margin, taking it close to INR 2.10-2.20 lakh (ex-showroom). RC 390 would even soon get the updated engine and ride by wire system.
