BMW G310GS Launched in India @ INR 3.49 Lakh

BMW has launched the G310GS in India for INR 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The lightweight, adventure friendly motorcycle rivals Kawasaki Versys X-300 and Royal Enfield Himalayan. The former is a twin-cylinder adventure machine while later is priced much lower in comparison.

Straightway, none of the motorcycles is a direct rival to G310GS. KTM is planning a 390 Adventure motorcycle that would serve as a genuine rival to this machine. G310R has also arrived in India for INR 2.99 lakh.

Front 3-Quarter View

G310GS shares the same engine as G310R, producing 33.6 BHP at 9500 rpm and 28 Nm at 7500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and claims 143 kph of top speed for this adventure tourer.

The fuel tank capacity, however, remains just 11-liters, limiting the use through more refills than other bikes of this segment. Long riders would benefit from the 835mm seat height while 220mm of SUV-like ground clearance further makes it a practical option. Buyers will use the long travel suspension for comfort packed ride on bumpy Indian roads.

Rear 3-Quarter View

G310GS comes with a 300mm front disc brake with standard ABS. The rear brake is 240mm disc and ABS is also available at the end. The front and rear suspension offer 180mm of total wheel travel, leaving the rider unknown to many smaller bumps on the road.

A 19-inch alloy wheel for the front tire takes care of the handling department in the best possible manner. G310GS features all-digital instrument console, 169.5kg of lightweight body and manually adjustable front windshield.
