According to a recent report by Iwanbanaran, the upcoming Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R will be manufactured by the Motorcycle & Engine division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries in Japan. The motorcycle will be made available in the Indonesian market via the CKD route.
As per the latest details available, the price tag for the 250cc 4-cylinder sportbike will stay between IDR 100 million to IDR 130 million (INR 5.08 lakh to INR 6.61 lakh). The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R will be one of the most expensive quarter-litre motorcycles to be ever launched by the brand. In comparison, the customers can avail the twin-cylinder Ninja 250 at a price tag of IDR 75 million (INR 3.81 lakh) in Indonesia.
The suspension duties on the motorcycle will be handled by upside-down forks at the front while the rear will feature a Uni-Trak monoshock suspension. Comparing the specs with that of the Ninja 650, the latter has not been equipped with USD forks at the front.
Powering the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R will be a 249cc, DOHC, 16-valve, 4-cylinder engine that will be capable of generating a power output ranging between 42HP to 46HP. The premium stance of the motorcycle will be further enhanced by the riding aids offered by the brand. The Ninja ZX-25R will also be equipped with ride-by-wire technology in addition to getting a standard traction control system.
The riders can further operate the sportbike in various riding modes. One can expect the brand to equip the motorcycle with a tubular chassis inspired by the mighty Ninja H2. The front tyre of the motorcycle may range between 100mm to 110mm while the rear is expected to measure between 140mm to 160mm.
As per the reports, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R is expected to hit the Indonesian market in 2020 after its official unveiling at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2019. The brand is highly unlikely to launch the Ninja ZX-25R in the Indian market anytime soon.
