KTM dealerships have begun deliveries of the new RC 125 sportbike across India. The images of the first RC125 being delivered have been shared online by KTM Thane, Mumbai. The entry-level sportbike was officially launched in India on 19th June. The first bike that has been delivered by KTM Thane is an orange-black coloured variant. The ex-showroom price of the fully-faired motorcycle is INR 1.47 lakh. It competes with Yamaha’s YZF-R15 V3.0 which is priced at INR 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
Well, if we see in terms of pricing and performance, Yamaha R15 has an edge over the KTM sportbike. The KTM RC 125 has a muscular look with beefy upside-down telescopic front forks from WP and has an aluminium swingarm. For the rear, the bike comes equipped with a 10-step adjustable monoshock. Mechanically, the bike shares its engine with the KTM 125 Duke.
KTM RC 125 sportbike has a 124.7cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with fuel injection which comes mated with a 6-speed transmission. The engine is good enough to produce 14.5 HP of maximum power at 9,250 rpm and 12 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. For braking performance, the bike comes equipped with front and rear disc brakes plus the bike also features a single-channel ABS unit.
