In addition to the new models of RC 200 and RC 390, the official photos of the 2022 KTM RC 125 have also leaked online. The motorcycle looks exactly the same as its elder siblings except for the instrument console. As visible in the image below, the new RC 125 doesn’t feature a rectangular TFT console like on the new models of RC 200 and RC 390. Though the console is not clearly visible, it seems to be a much smaller unit in comparison to the premium RC models. The new model of RC 125 will be available in two shades: Orange with Gloss White, and Orange with Matte Black. Here are the official photos of the 2022 KTM RC 125:
Mechanically, no changes are expected and the 2022 KTM RC 125 would come powered by the same 125cc, single-cylinder engine, which is good for 14.5 HP at 9250 rpm and 12 Nm at 8000 rpm. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The mileage of RC 125 stands at around 45 kmpl while the top speed of the entry-level KTM sports bike is around 120 kmph.
Talking about the hardware components, the new model of RC 125 is expected to feature the same suspension and brakes as the current-gen version, so it means that it will get a single-channel ABS unit along with a 300mm single front disc and a 230mm rear disc. The suspension duties will continue to be performed by WP USD front forks and a monoshock at the rear end.
In terms of pricing, the updated model of RC 125 is expected to get a price hike of around INR 10,000. For your reference, the current-gen model is priced at INR 1.80 lakhs (ex-showroom), which is already on the higher side.
