Custom-Made Moto Guzzi Le Mans ‘MK II Airforce’ by DMOL

London based Death Machines have made something unique from a rare piece of automobile history. This custom cafe racer is built on a 1983 Moto Guzzi Le Mans and gets itself an even fancy name, Mk II Airforce.

It was built to pay respect to Moto Guzzi founder and motorcycle racer, Giovanni Ravelli. The custom built machine is impressive from every possible viewing angle as this design flows from front to rear in the same linear manner as wind.

Engine was still in drivable condition but Death Machines went forward to replace seals and bearing along with perfectly restored cylinder heads. Airforce comes with hand finished body panels and all them are available in brushed aluminum finish. The impressive V-Twin motor got itself two 36mm Dell’Orto carburetors for maximum efficiency in terms of fuel usage and performance.

Moto Guzzi California sourced swing-arm was heavily modified to get a perfect fit here, replacing the original one due to styling issues. Death Machines even used a cantilevered rear monoshock and painted both rear rim and swing-arm Grey for better contrast.

The rear wheel gets a unique layout as no see-through rim was made available on the model. Even after using Brembo caliper for the front disc brakes, the shape and finish was kept closer to drum brake for retro appeal. Every other part for the motorcycle is handmade, including all the clips, grips and inverse lever.

A fully custom instrument console with digital readings was used for clarity. Not just that, the illumination can be controlled manually! Cost part for this motorcycle was not made official but as the parts and history associated in quite unique, expecting the model to go for auction and fetch huge numbers would not be a wrong guess. Moto Guzzi is available in India through Piaggio group’s Motoplex dealerships.
