Yamaha R15 Version 3 Bookings Open (Unofficially): Yamaha R15 V3 will soon get an official launch in India. This was confirmed after Perfect Riders, Yamaha authorized dealership, accepted the booking amount of INR 5000 against the new R15 V3.
They even claimed a delivery in Feb 2018. Apart from them, many dealerships have claimed that first batch of R15 V3 has arrived at their parking lots. It will feature MRF tyres, LED lights and standard telescopic forks for the Indian market.
Yamaha R15 Version 3 has no direct rival in India as Honda has discontinued the CBR150R from India. Yamaha will use a powerful 155.1cc, VVA equipped engine producing 19.04 BHP and 14.7 Nm of torque.The engine will now comes equipped with 6-speed with slipper clutch assisted gearbox outside India.
Yamaha India might not offer slipper clutch in India to price R15 Version 3 competitively. The most probable time for R15 V3’s launch is Auto Expo 2018. It is expected to get a price tag of around INR 1.20-1.25 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against none other than Bajaj Pulsar RS200.
