2019 Ford Mustang GT Spotted in India, Launch Soon

New Ford Mustang GT was recently spotted in India. If a rumored report in the industry is to be believed, the new Ford Mustang will make its Indian entry in coming months. The mid-cycle update brings new headlamps and few other changes on the front end of the car. It comes with a sharper front bumper, split five-spoke alloy wheels and redesigned headlights that support the signature LED fitments on the inside. The rear end of the Mustang even gets redesigned bumper, new spoiler, and reworked tail light.

Technologically, the car gets updated with 12-inch digital instrument console, replacing the twin pod analog console from the 2018 version. The infotainment system has been updated and now comes compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car will retain the 5.0 L, V8 engine for India as it is the only drivetrain on sale in the country. The car now uses the newly developed 10-speed gearbox, replacing the current generation 6-speed gearbox on offer in India.

As the car is purely CBU, it would carry the same to India as well. The base 3.6 L, V6 engine has been discontinued from the international markets, leaving just 2.3 L EcoBoost and 5.0 L V8 on the charts. The design update makes it even sharper than ever. The car will attract an even bigger price tag in the future. Mustang is an iconic name and getting the sports car, muscle car and supercar feel from one product are only possible on this model, the mighty 5.0 GT.

The V8 engine sounds great and carries the ability to turn heads on the city as well as highway riding conditions. As generations are moving ahead with a higher level of technology, it is quite visible that manufacturers are using design lines from their iconic products to gain the attention of the worthy customers. At present, the Mustang GT is priced at INR 74.62 lakh in India. The 2019 model is expected to get a price hike but the ex-showroom price will stay under INR 80 lakh for sure.
