Honda Recalls 22,834 Cars in India to Replace Faulty Takata Airbag Inflators

Honda Recalls 22834 Cars in India (2013 Models): Honda India will be replacing the faulty Takata passenger airbag inflator of 2013 Accord, City and Jazz for free through its recent recall scheme. They fear that faulty airbag could inflate with excessive pressure, resulting in injury to the passenger in case of an emergency.

The voluntary recall shows how the company cares for its customers and even after 5 years, wish to resolve the problem for stress free ownership of their car. They will contact the customers directly for an appointment and this process is already under action from January 19.

If you own a Honda model from the above mentioned variants, calling the nearest Honda dealership is a great option. Honda has listed 22,834 vehicles for this recall. The detailed description includes 510 units of Accord, 240 units of Jazz and 22084 units of City. Customers can also check their car’s status by putting their 17 digit VIN into a special page made by Honda India. The link can be found on their official website.

Honda cars are one among the safest options to have in India. They offer almost every basic safety function as standard on their present generation cars while their most selling sedan, Honda City, comes with six airbag option on the top spec model.

Honda is expected to bring new concepts and 2018 Civic to Auto Expo 2018. Accord can be bought only in the Hybrid variant while Jazz is still the slowest selling premium hatchback of its segment. City is the highest selling product while WR-V has brought a good name to Honda in terms of user satisfaction.

Honda India is also expected to bring the 2018 Amaze to Auto Expo, raising the design level by using Honda City as an inspiration and widening its stance for enhanced user comfort on long as well as city specific rides.
