The Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been a best-selling car in the company’s SUV segment portfolio. However, with the continuously rising competition, the brand has developed a new-gen model of the Brezza with major updates. And this time the company is going to present the new model without the prefix “Vitara”, as we have already seen in the spy images.
As per the latest media reports, the forthcoming SUV is all set to enter the Indian market on June 30, 2022. In terms of updates, the next-gen Maruti Brezza features an all-new design and has a refreshed exterior and interior.
In fact, the rear end of the compact SUV has been completely overhauled. Upfront, the new Maruti Brezza gets a new grille, bumper, headlights, and even new fenders. It has been built on the same platform used in the current model, and there are no alterations to the body shell and doors.
Speaking of the rear end, the upcoming model sports a restyled tailgate with the number plate casing set lower as compared to the existing model, and a reprofiled rear bumper with a faux skid plate.
When it comes to interior updates, the all-new Brezza is anticipated to have a large touchscreen infotainment system, a traditional dual-pod instrument cluster, a sunroof, a wireless charger, and paddle shifters for automatic variants, to mention a few. The interior update is not only limited to an extended feature list but also a redesigned cabin. The manufacturer has used a higher quality plastic for the dashboard and cabin layout.
Powering the upcoming 2022 Brezza will be the same 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, mild-hybrid technology-enabled petrol engine that is capable of churning out 105 hp and 138 Nm of torque. This engine is likely to be coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic gearbox rather than the existing 4-speed auto option.
