Suzuki Jimny Sierra Pickup Style and Survive Edition Officially Unveiled

Suzuki Jimny Sierra Pickup Style and Survive Edition are two special versions of the popular urban SUV. The design concepts will feature at the Tokyo Auto Salon in January 2019. The plans of bringing both these models into production will be revealed after the show. As the Pickup Style is based on the Sierra variant, the extended fenders add more bulk to the commanding front fascia. The rear of the Jimny Sierra Pickup comes with a compact loading bay that can be useful for carrying luggage rather than huge toolkits like regular pickup trucks. The roof is finished in gloss white shade on the car.

The white rims, highlighted front grille painted in body coloured yellow finish and LED floodlights on the top makes Jimny Sierra Pickup Style an attractive concept. The second version is Jimny Survive Edition, clearly based on the regular model with no extended wheel arches, regular width and a number of changes to the visible parts. The first and most visible change is the use of thick tread tyres and dual tone wheels with chrome outer finish and black inner section. The window frames are fitted with a metal frame for additional protection and the same also acts as a roof carrier.

The version also comes with headlight protectors, a different front bumper with more space for climbing and winch for helping the car escape difficult situations. Suzuki Jimny is available with two different engine options as the standard version is powered by a 660cc, three-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 64 HP and 96 Nm while Sierra features 1.5L petrol engine with 102 HP and 130 Nm. The chances of Sierra coming to India is more than ever because Suzuki can share the same 1.5L engine with the Ertiga and Ciaz here. The engine comes with a 5-speed manual and 4-speed auto gearbox.
