Following the success of the Ghibli Hybrid in India, Maserati is preparing to launch its first electrified SUV in the country. This Italian carmaker launched the 2022 Levante Hybrid earlier this year, and this Hybrid SUV has already arrived on our shores, with the first delivery made in Mumbai. Maserati has received a positive response to its Faster, Greener, and Unique cars in the cities of Delhi and Mumbai.
A 4-cylinder, 2-litre engine combined with a 48-volt hybrid system that aids in energy recovery during deceleration and braking powers the Levante Hybrid. Maserati Levante Hybrid is lighter than the 6-cylinder gasoline engine. The engine can generate 330 hp and 450 Nm of torque at 2,250 rpm. The Levante Hybrid is only available with all-wheel drive and this SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds and has a top speed of more than 240 km/h.
Levante’s weight distribution is improved by placing the battery in the rear without compromising load capacity or optimally balancing the masses of the vehicle. According to the manufacturer, this SUV is intended to make driving more agile and enjoyable. The price of the 2022 Maserati Levante Hybrid starts at INR 1.48 Cr (Ex-showroom).
Purple Style Labs (PSL) founder Abhishek Monty Agarwal stated, “I discovered the Maserati Levante on my trip to London way back in 2018 and I was instantly impressed by its exterior and interior details. Maserati is innovative by nature and with Levante Hybrid their aim of improving performance while staying true to the brand values of delivering speed and agility while saving fuel and reinforcing the Trident’s dedication to driving pleasure and luxury is commendable. Thus it was an instantaneous decision for me to own the brand’s first Hybrid SUV, having said that, I am also planning to purchase the powerful V8 Levante Trofeo from their new lineup.”
