BS6 Honda Shine 125 Launched in India @ INR 67,857

The BS6 Honda Shine 125 has been recently launched in India at a price tag of INR 67,857 for the drum brake variant while the disc brake variant is priced at INR 72,557 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The BS6-compliant variant of the motorcycle gets a premium of INR 7,000 over its BS4 price tag. Surprisingly, the brand has removed the 'CB' moniker from the name of the motorcycle. Powering the motorcycle is the all-new BS6-compliant 125cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 10.7HP @ 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 11Nm @ 6,000 rpm. The revised power and torque values of the BS6-compliant engine are slightly higher when compared to the 10.3HP and 10.3Nm churned out by its BS4 avatar. Apart from this, the new engine is now mated to an all-new 5-speed transmission.

The brand has equipped the updated motorcycle with a new rolling resistance tyre at the rear which in addition to a fuel injection engine, is also one of the reasons for the increased fuel efficiency by a total of 14%. Coming to the increased price tag, the BS6 Honda Shine 125 has been equipped with multiple new features justifying the hike such as a new silent start system which further ensures jolt-free and quick-start of the motorcycle. In addition to this, the updated motorcycle now features all-new switchgear which replaces the old setup on the last-gen variant while the instrument cluster is also new. The motorcycle has been equipped with a revised halogen unit at the front while the brand has also offered the motorcycle with a stop/start switch that ensures increased functionality.
