Honda NX 200 Patent Images Leaked Ahead of Official Launch

Adventure bikes are becoming popular in India, not just a high-end premium choice but a part of the mass market segment. With the success of bikes like Hero Xpulse 200, Royal Enfield Himalayan, and KTM Adventure 250/390, other companies are planning to enter this segment as well. The new Honda NX 200 is the next bike which will be introduced to Indian adventure enthusiasts soon.

Honda filed a trademark for the NX 200 in India last year, and the patent images seemed to have been leaked on the internet. The launch of the entry-level off-road adventurer is expected to be soon, especially now that here are some details on what you can expect from the upcoming bike.

As we can see in the leaked images, the bike is heavily inspired by the current Honda CB 200X. A similar single-cradle chassis, 184cc engine, and box-section rear swingarm seem to be adopted by the NX 200. They have altered the front disc to the left side, and the rear brake is a drum setup like the one in Hero Impulse (discontinued).

The Honda NX 200 differentiates itself from the CB 200X as it seems to have only telescopic forks, enabling its off-road capabilities with upswept under-seat exhaust and spoke wheels. The fairing also seems different, with a tall visor and an updated LED headlamp setup.

It is equipped with a single-piece seat unit with a luggage carrier at the rear. The handguards look very much like the Honda CB, and the side of the adventurer looks more like the Honda Africa Twin. The rear taillight seems to be an LED setup, and the instrument cluster looks updated in more than one way. The round rear view mirrors might look out of place on a modern off-road bike, but they might have their own charm on an actual product.

By the glance of the images, the bike looks production-ready and can be expected to soon be launched in the Indian market with the Honda NX 200 name, carrying the Honda adventure legacy of the past. We do not know the specs and the price of the NX 200 at the moment but expect it to be in the same range as the Hero Xpulse 200.
