The watered down versions of Google Pixel 3 have been in the charts ever since the rumoured images of the devices surfaced a few months back. Now, more details on the smartphones have surfaced online and considering them, the smartphones will be named as Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL disregarding the previous speculations of their names being Pixel 3 lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL respectively. The smartphones are expected to be launched in Spring 2019 though there hasn’t been any official confirmation for the same as of yet. Both the smartphones are expected to be available in Blue and White colour options.
The 3a is expected to feature 5.6-inch FHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2220×1080 pixels while the 3a XL will be getting 6-inch FHD+ OLED display. Powering the Pixel 3a is an Octa-Core Snapdragon 670 processor while the latter is expected to be powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 710 processor. Both the upcoming smartphones will get 4GB of RAM with an optional 32GB and 64GB of internal storage. Pixel 3a series will be powered by Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system.
In addition to these details, the smartphones will be getting a 12.2MP rear camera with LED flash as well as an 8MP wide-angle lens selfie camera. Both the smartphones will be getting a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and feature an active edge technology. The upcoming Google phones pack up a 3000 mAh battery with fast charging and will be getting Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, USB Type-C as connectivity options though, only Pixel 3a will be getting a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
