According to October 2021 scooter sales reports in India, the Honda Activa remains in first place with 1,96,999 units sold. However, these are 17.8 per cent less in comparison to last year’s same period sales, which were 2,39,570 units. TVS Motor Company has extended the Jupiter lineup with the launch of the Jupiter 125, and deliveries have also begun. Jupiter recorded a cumulative domestic tally of 72,161 units in October 2021, compared to 74,159 units in the same period a year ago, representing a 2.6 per cent YoY reduction.
The Suzuki Access has been the best-selling scooter by brand, and the legacy continued with the 46,450 units sold in October 2021 as compared to 52,441 in October 2020. With 25,693 units delivered last month, TVS Ntorq ranked fourth. TVS sold 31,524 units of the sporty scooter during the same period last year, resulting in a YoY loss of 18.50 per cent.
