The complete sales report of two-wheelers in the month of October is out and again Hero Motocorp is proud of selling its Splendor bike at a spectacular rate. However, the shortfall of semiconductor chips affected the whole automobile industry badly and volume decreased to 11,26,760 units from 13,53,972 units. No doubt the festive season sales were not up to the expectations.
Hero MotoCorp’s Splendor finished first in the two-wheeler sales ratings in October 2021, with 2,67,821 units sold. When compared to the same time in 2020, when 3,15,798 units were sold, a YoY negative sales growth of 15.1% was seen. Honda Activa was the country’s second most popular two-wheeler, and it continued to lead the scooter sales chart.
The Hero HF Deluxe ended third with 1,64,311 units last month, down from 2,33,061 units at the same time a year earlier, representing a 29.5 per cent decrease in volume. While the Bajaj Pulsar reached a cumulative domestic tally of 86,500 units vs 1,38,218 units in October 2020, representing a 37.4% YoY sales reduction.
