23,987 Units of Yamaha Fazer 25 & FZ25 Recalled in India

Fazer 25 & Yamaha FZ25 Recalled in India –  250cc FZ and Fazer were recently listed under a recall in India. Unfortunately, all 23,897 units of the motorcycle sold till date are within this recall. Yamaha has tracked an issue related to loosening of engine head cover bolt.

India Yamaha Motor has promised free of cost repair and will contact every owner individually for the appointment. The 250cc motorcycle duo is a miracle for performance lovers as no other manufacturer offer such quick machines at INR 1.19 lakh and INR 1.29 lakh respectively. They simply raised the performance expectations of everyday riders in traffic filled country like India.

Yamaha Fazer 25 was recently launched while FZ25 was available from almost an year. The number of units in sales were ever increasing as buyers found nothing more tempting and satisfying as FZ25 in this segment. Nearest rival is KTM 250 Duke and that comes with a much higher price when compared to FZ25.

Benelli TNT 25 is a slow seller and thus, the brand never even reveals the sales figure for this most expensive quarter liter of India. Yamaha FZ25 and Fazer 25 shares most of its components like suspension and frame with younger FZ variants.

FZ25 is powered by a 249cc, single cylinder engine producing 20.69 BHP at 8000 rpm and 20 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Yamaha offers fuel injection for better fuel delivery while oil cooling makes the motorcycle more effective than standard air cooled options. It weighs just 148 kg and carries 14 liters of fuel tank, resulting in almost 500 kilometers from a single refill.

Top speed claimed is 134 kmph for the FZ25. Fazer 25, on the other hand, uses the same engine and parts but get aerodynamic benefits at higher speeds on the highway.
