Hyundai Venue Registers 50,000 Bookings in 2 Months

It seems like Hyundai Venue has been able to live up to its hype as the company has recently claimed that they have received 50,000 bookings for the compact SUV in just 60 days since its official launch in the Indian market.

The company has also claimed that out of the 50,000 bookings, more than 35% of the customers have opted for the DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) variant. It is a great achievement for the company and it shows that people are showing a huge interest in the brand’s latest compact SUV.

The Hyundai Venue was launched back in May 2019 with a starting price tag of INR 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It is the brand’s first sub-4-meter SUV and it competes directly with the Tata Nexon, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Honda WR-V, and the Ford EcoSport.

Mechanically, the SUV is available with three engine options. It gets a 998cc turbocharged petrol engine, which is capable of producing 118 HP of maximum power at 6,000 rpm and 172 Nm of peak torque at 2,500-4,500 rpm. This variant of the car is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The second option is a 1.2-litre petrol engine that churns out 82 HP of maximum power at 6,000 rpm and 115 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. This variant of the car comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The third engine option is a 1.4-litre diesel that produces 89 HP of maximum power at 4,000 rpm and 220 Nm of peak torque at 1,500-2,750 rpm, and it comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Hyundai Venue is a feature-rich compact SUV as it has got a variety of connectivity features which include voice recognition and an embedded e-SIM for internet connectivity. The top-spec variant of the car also comes equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system, an air-purifier system, wireless phone charger, driver rearview monitor and a lot more comfort plus safety features.
