Royal Enfield Model-Wise Sales Report (December 2019)

The Royal Enfield model-wise sales report for December 2019 is out and the brand has witnessed an overall decline in the Year-over-Year (YoY) sales by a total of 13.45%. In addition to this, the brand has also witnessed a gradual decline in the monthly sales which are down by a total of 16.82% when compared to November 2019.

The decline in sales for the most popular cruiser brand in the Indian motorcycle segment can be justified as the customers are waiting for the next-gen models of the motorcycles to be launched later this year. The brand has recently launched the BS6 Classic 350 in the Indian market while the reports also suggest the other motorcycles in the brand’s portfolio to be launched soon with updated engines.

Owning the maximum number of sales in Dec 2019, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 with a BS4-compliant engine has been able to record a total of 29,121 units though the YoY sales of the motorcycle have declined by a total of 15% when compared to the 34,325 units registered in the same month last year.

Royal Enfield Bullet 350, Electra 350 and the 650 Twins are the only motorcycles from the brand that have witnessed an overall increase in the sales for Dec 2019 by a total of 7%, 94% and 15% respectively.

The maximum decline in the overall sales from the brand has been witnessed by Royal Enfield Classic 500 and the Bullet 500 by registering a downfall of 93% and 84% respectively. The former has been able to bag a total of 74 units in Dec 2019 while the total sales for the latter stand at only 17 units.

The brand has officially discontinued its 500cc range from the Indian market considering the declining demand as well as the approaching new emission norms. The 500cc motorcycles are only available with the dealerships till the stock lasts while the brand will not launch the BS6-compliant variants of the same. Here is the model-wise sales report for Royal Enfield motorcycles in Dec 2019.
